Our ResidentsAt present, about 50% of our resident population consists of individuals with a mental health disability or an intellectual impairment. Most of these residents have some type of chronic mental disorder, ranging from schizophrenia to depression, as well as, other diagnoses. We also have dual diagnosed individuals (mental illness and substance abuse).
The other 50% of our residents have various forms of physical disabilities. These people are not impaired enough to require hospitalization or to be institutionalized on a permanent basis, but they are unable to live in the community without supervision and the services we offer. Some of our residents have no family members. Others have families who for one reason or another, cannot, or will not, care for them at home.
